I saw the Clove deal (darlinghurst, near Oxford st.) from ‘Spreets’ a few weeks ago…did checked the review before– half positive, half negative…so I just bought…
Booking was pretty easy for a Thursday evening. The owner was very friendly and took our order. 2 glasses of House wine, the entry plate was a bit cold, but taste not too bad. Interesting thing happened— the table beside us were two British guys (known by their accent), apparently they didn’t really know what to order. So one of them pointed to our entry plate and said “we want that.” 5 mins later, they were served on a sizzling plate with freshly cooked lamb… I was astonished… Is it only because we are using the voucher?
The main– fish vindaloo and chicken was not too bad, but also not to my ‘fantastic’ level. After main, the ice cream was a bit laughable…just two small scoop of mango icecream, doesn’t have enough cream tasted a bit like sorbet.
Anyway, this deal cost me $59, saying worth $120. But no matter how hard I calculated, it couldn’t reach $120 original value. anyway not really cool deal
